What is Tadam? Everyday help from people nearby
When the dresser is still in its box, Tadam is designed to connect you with someone nearby who can help. Tadamer signup is open; offers will start when Tadam launches in Tel Aviv.

The new dresser is home, but it's still in its box. For someone nearby, assembling it may be familiar work. Tadam is built around that everyday difference: one person needs a hand, and someone nearby has the skill and wants to help.
Tadam hasn't launched yet. Signup is open for people who want to offer help, called Tadamers, and Tel Aviv is the first city. The explanation below describes the planned service. Offers will start when Tadam officially launches.
What is the Tadam app?
Tadam is a location based app designed to connect everyday needs with people nearby who can help. A person at home, a family or a small business describes what they need. On the other side is a Tadamer with a relevant skill who wants to earn by helping.
The starting point is the situation. Your dog needs a walk while you're at work. A closet could use some attention. Your plants need watering while you're away. Each description says something useful about the help you're looking for, without requiring you to decide what someone's professional title should be.
What does a Tadamer do?
A Tadamer offers help through Tadam. The skill might be something they use all the time: assembling furniture, taking photos or making a confusing bit of technology easier to understand. Everyday abilities count too. Being patient while explaining how to send a sticker can be useful to the person trying to send one.
Tadamers choose the skills that suit them and decide whether to accept each offer. Knowing how to do something doesn't mean you want to spend every free afternoon doing it. The guide to becoming a Tadamer covers joining from the helper's side.
How does a request become an offer?
A request is what someone asks for help with. An offer is that request reaching a nearby Tadamer who has selected the relevant skill. In the planned flow, a request goes out, nearby Tadamers with that skill receive an offer, and one accepts it. That's the match between the two sides.
Think of the dresser in its box. The person who owns it wants help putting it together. Someone nearby knows how to assemble furniture. Their skill makes the request relevant to them, but they still decide whether they want to accept. Being nearby doesn't make that choice for them.
What skills can people offer on Tadam?
The examples on the Tadam site include sorting a closet, ironing, caring for plants and walking dogs. There are creative and digital skills too, such as photography, improving slides or helping with technology. These examples describe the range of everyday help Tadam is designed for.
A useful way to think about a skill is to picture the person who needs it. "I'm good with computers" becomes clearer when you imagine helping a parent understand something on their phone. The person asking may already know most of what they need. A little time spent explaining the missing part could be the whole request.
How will nearby help work in Tel Aviv?
Tadam is starting in Tel Aviv. Location is part of connecting a request with people who have the relevant skill, and Tadamers choose each offer. There are no fixed shifts or minimum hours. Nearby doesn't mean an offer is guaranteed to appear at a particular time or around a particular corner.
That choice matters when your free time changes during the week. If you want to understand how that could fit your schedule, the article on flexible work without shifts looks at the decision in more detail.
